Virgin Money wants to "bring a bit of rebellion to your wallet," thanks to a new line of Sex Pistols credit cards launched in the UK. The cards come with an 18.9% variable APR, and they are available in three different designs.
The Sex Pistols credit cards are meant to commemorate Virgin's longstanding history with the band. In 1977, the Sex Pistols signed a deal with Virgin Records that eventually launched them to global fame. On their website, Virgin Mobile says, “They challenged convention and the established way of thinking—just as we are doing today in our quest to shake up UK banking.”
There are balance transfer cards and purchase credit cards available with the Sex Pistols imagery on the front, and members get access to exclusive lounges and "a great range of Virgin offers" through their cards. These vanity cards are equipped with NFC technology, so they can be used for contactless payments of up to £20.
Credit limits and APRs are issued based on credit. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and must be a resident of the UK. Interested applicants may apply online through the Virgin Money website.
